I have not yet sufficiently the habit of take pictures of EVERYTHING,
thinking of the blog …
Je n’ai pas encore suffisamment l’habitude de TOUT prendre en photo,
en pensant au blog…
And my buddies like to see pictures of what I am talking about.
Pourtant, les copains aiment bien voir des images de ce que je raconte.
I thought of taking the number of my parking place,
which saved me to wander miserably in the evening in search of my car,
as it happened a few times already in my life.
J’ai pensé à prendre le numéro de ma place de parking,
ce qui m’a évité d’errer lamentablement le soir à la recherche de ma voiture, comme ça m’est arrivé quelques fois déjà dans ma vie.
It was not bad, in the genre, it would have pleased Rosie.
The « people » as if it rained in a dog days hell. Implacable.
C’était pas mal dans le genre ça aurait plu à Rosie.
Des people comme s’il en pleuvait sous une canicule d’enfer. Implacable.
There was even Douglas Kennedy,
but the queue was too long in front of him, I did not have the courage to approach him.
Il y avait même Douglas Kennedy,
mais la file d’attente était trop longue devant lui, je n’ai pas eu le courage de l’approcher.
I had the nice surprise to discover a full page about me in Nice-Matin daily on Sunday.

Too bad the picture of me is so awful, my mother called me yesterday
to find out why I had made this Festival whereas I was so sick,
and if I was healed since. She was worried!
Dommage que la photo de moi est tellement affreuse
que ma mère m’a appelé hier pour savoir pourquoi j’avais fait ce festival,
alors que j’étais si malade, et si j’étais guérie depuis? Elle était inquiète!

the two most important people of the festival for me:
Brigitte Aubert
Agnes Martin Lugand.
Mais heureusement, j’ai quand même pensé à prendre en photo les deux personnes les plus importantes du festival: Brigitte Aubert et Agnès Martin Lugand.
Besides books, readers, authors and booksellers,
there was the sea …
and children,
who, in Nice, walk on water …
il y avait la mer… et les enfants qui, à Nice, marchent sur l’eau…
Anyway I did not come for… plums …
Bref je ne suis pas venue pour des prunes…
